Dear Habiba Horse friends, on this page you will find the current offer from Habiba Horse El Gouna.
Provided that you do not exceed our clearly set upper weight limit of 90 kg, are not pregnant and have a desire for and enjoy riding, our horseback riding trips are possible from the age of 6.
When making a reservation, we ask for riding experience, height and weight. This information helps us to choose the appropriate 4-legged companion for our guests. The tours are suitable for beginners, occasional riders as well as advanced riders. Our groups are deliberately kept small in order to cater to individual needs as much as possible.
Our tours are designed very openly. "Almost" everything can be done, nothing is a must. A relaxed walk-only ride is just as possible as the one or other trot and/or gallop passage.
Riding equipment (helmets, chaps, pants etc.) can be borrowed from us free of charge. Guests up to 18 years of age are required to wear a helmet, all others are free to do so, although we strongly recommend everyone to wear a helmet.
All tours are accompanied by guides who are primarily responsible to ensure safety - and of course fun. They are happy to take pictures and videos as well as a free of charge service from our side. Therefore, we cannot foresee the amount of material and how all will turn out.
First time riders are always accompanied by additional guides. For safety reasons and in order not to harm our animals, beginners are only allowed to walk.
After each tour, everyone can enjoy our famous Habiba tea (Egyptian black tea with own grown mint) and/or a refreshing water.
Habiba Horse is open all year round. From Spring to Fall we start at sunrise for the early risers, for those who like to sleep in we offer a sunset tour. In Winter we start at 7 a.m.

Place: desert / beach / swim with the horses
The focus of this tour lies on a nice bath with our horses in the Red Sea. The moment when the horse loses the ground under its hooves and starts to swim relaxed with full joy together with the rider is described by many of our guests as magical.
For the time in the water the saddles are taken from the horses.
The horses move quite independently in the water and are not forced to do anything. This means that if you don't feel like going into deep water, then you don't have to.
By the way: just like us humans, not all horses like the water - they won't even be used on this tour 😉
*only bookable from April to November and depending on temperature and wind

From spring to autumn we start at sunrise for early risers. For those who like to sleep in, a sunset tour is ideal. In winter we start at 7 a.m.
Our animals come from Hurghada, Cairo and Luxor and were removed from poor husbandry by us. Muli Paula and the mares Sina and Maja were born with us.
Each animal stands in its own box on sawdust that we get directly from the El Gouna carpentry shop. However, some find the chips “too tasty”. These then stand on straw.
Concentrated feed: two feed suppliers from Cairo
Roughage: Depending on quality and availability, different suppliers from the Nile regions
Fresh grass: comes fresh every 2-3 days from Quena, 160 km away
Fruit / Vegetable: Abu Amer Fruit and Vegetable Shop El Gouna
The veterinarian we trust practices in Cairo. He comes to us from Cairo (by car or plane) for routine annual examinations and in severe cases. We treat minor complaints ourselves after consultation with the veterinarian here on site.
Our animals are all shod. Like the vet, our farrier comes from Cairo and visits us about every 6 weeks.
Depending on the season, up to 8 employees look after our animals and guests.
When making a reservation we ask Riding experience, size and weight. This information helps us to select the right 4-legged companion for our guests.
To book our horseback riding trips you must be at least 6 years old. For younger guests, we are happy to offer trial horseback riding at our ranch.
For animal welfare reasons we have a maximum weight limit of 90 kg (198 lbs).In addition, we do not offer horseback riding excursions for pregnats and children unter 6 years (For trial riding for children under 6 years of age, please contact us directly)
Riding equipment (helmets, chaps, riding breeches, etc.) can be lend from us for free . Guests up to 18 years haben bei uns are required to wear helmets without exception. Of course, we generally recommend that everyone wear a helmet. The helmet can of course be removed when swimming with the horses.
All tours are accompanied by guides who are responsible for the necessary safety. They also provide fun and capture the experience in photos and videos .
We ride according to the English riding style and make the tours very open. “Almost” everything can be done, nothing has to be done. A relaxed ride at a walk is just as possible as the occasional trot and/or gallop.
